Research Rotation for Students
The Gastroenterology Cancer Genetics & Epidemiology Research Program is a multidisciplinary group of investigators that examines the role of genetics, epigenetic and the interplay of gene-environment interactions in Hispanics with gastrointestinal cancer.
Our group has multiple investigations including clinical trials, molecularly-based investigations, and epidemiological studies that expose the student to the various aspects of conducting clinical and translational investigation.
We offer interested undergraduate and graduate students who qualify the opportunity for training in basic laboratory methods, epidemiological methods, and participation in clinical trials including recruitment and interactions with study subjects, within the context of an academic institution and cancer center.
Interested undergraduate and/or graduate students should complete the online application below and submit the names of two referees who are familiar with the student.
