Mission Statement
In Puerto Rico (PR), colorectal cancer (CRC) represents the second most common cause of cancer in men and women. In addtion, CRC represents the third cause of cancer death in men and the second cause of cancer death in women. Few studies have addressed the genetic profile of CRC in Hispanics.
Our goal is to understand why Hispanic patients develop CRC and evaluate risk factors including environmental and familiar causes.
We are a multidisciplinary group of health professionals interested in eradicating CRC in Puerto Rico
